Cameo History
A quick overview history of Cameo Glass:
Cameo Glass dates to the Ancient Romans and were produced in two periods; between around 25 BC and 50/60 AD, and in the later Empire around the mid-third and mid-fourth century. The Portland Vase would be one of the most well known examples

It fell out of practice but was revived in the 19th century largely through the efforts of Thomas and George Woodall.
